The purpose of our managers and coaches is to help our players become productive, positive members of the community after playing little league baseball. We assist youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. We never shame a player but we correct them in an uplifting manner. We believe in our players. We put players in a position where they can develop to the fullest of their potential. Every player deserves a chance to safely succeed.
Coaches can disagree in meetings but never in front of our players or anyone else outside of our organization. We are teachers and we hold ourselves accountable to teach the lessons players need to develop the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being.
Remember that parents are our partners. Work with each family to help their player succeed.
No profanity, screaming, shaming, or sarcasm. We are nurturing successful people NOT successful athletes.
Treat our opponents with the honor and respect true opponents deserve. Respect all umpires, coaches, and officials of all leagues.
Regardless of wins and losses we will be successful if we carry out the above items.
Because I as a manager or coach am a role model who has the power, position, and platform to make a positive difference in the lives of players, I commit to this code of conduct. When failing to live up to our standards I will allow for accountability and take responsibility for my actions.
