PROJECT 1
OUTFIELD FENCE
After years of evaluating and analyzing our fence options we have started the fence placement. Not an easy project as we were impacted severely by the COVID-19 situation. We have raised the funds and are being fiscally responsible to build a unique fence in the Frederick area. It will be awesome!
PROJECT 2
BATTING CAGE UPDATE
Our batting cage was deemed to be unsafe after last season. The netting was old and rotted in many places. We have pulled down the net and a new one is in house. Before we hang the netting we are looking to level the cage somewhat, place some turf inside the cage, paint the poles, and secure the cages.
PROJECT 3
BULLPEN BUILD
Currently there is no bullpen in right field. The bullpen in leftfield needs a ton of work. Steps are underway so that we have nice bullpens on each side of the field for any team playing at Braddock Heights. With the new batting cage the left field bullpen will also be way safer.
PROJECT 4
SCOREBOARD BUILD
Moving the scoreboard from Baker Park has always been a priority for us but there are very tight restrictions on where we can place the board due to existing structures and constraints. We are working closely with the sign company and the board will be in place for 2024.
PROJECT 5
FLAG POLE REPLACEMENT
Our centerfield flag pole was unusable due to rust and corrosion. It has been removed and will be replaced with a newer pole that includes a solar light and the ability to fly several flags.
PROJECT 6
EAGLE SCOUT PROJECTS
We have 2 Eagle Scouts working on separate projects, or two, at our facility. Additional details will be shared once things get finalized.
